Professional robotic painting,
delivered as a service.
The precision of industrial paint robotics without the capital expense of owning, programming, and maintaining a cell. PaintForge is building its own painting platform on this model — and designing the software to orchestrate the professional paint robots manufacturers already trust.
PaintForge is pre-launch. RaaS terms below describe the model we are building toward with pilot partners.
Professional painting robots, deployed and maintained — no capex.
You are hereOne platform, two halves — designed to be deployed together.
Paint is where quality, cost,
and labor collide.
A deepening shortage of skilled sprayers caps how much a shop can coat.
Robotic cells run fatigue-free through breaks and shifts, so throughput stops tracking headcount.
Manual film build varies operator to operator, driving rework and warranty risk.
Closed-loop process control holds thickness to target on every part, logged for traceability.
Overspray wastes expensive coating and pushes VOC emissions toward compliance limits.
Optimized paths and high-transfer atomizers cut waste and the emissions that come with it.
A six-figure robot purchase is hard to justify against uncertain volume.
A service model converts capex into a monthly cost that scales up and down with the pipeline.
One subscription. The whole cell — not just the arm.
Zero capex
A predictable monthly rate instead of a six-figure purchase, integration project, and depreciation schedule.
Deployment & support
Installation, programming, maintenance, and spares are the service — not a headcount you carry.
Software included
Every deployment is designed to ship with the PaintForge platform for monitoring, recipes, and reporting.
Scale with the pipeline
Add robots for a big program, release them when it ships. Capacity that follows demand.
A machine you can see through.
Slice it open, explode it, watch the internals move. This is the PaintForge concept unit as an inspectable digital twin — every part is a design target.
Inspect it at full mechanical fidelity.
The browser twin above is the preview. The Godot-powered Pro Simulator adds cross-section teardown, exploded assemblies, slow-motion internals, and a realistic coverage run you can drive.
Pro Simulator is in active development — the web preview above shows what ships first.
Five reference machines, live.
Select any robot to load its class-accurate build and watch it run a coat — distinct base, wrist, and applicator per machine. Launch any one into the full-fidelity Pro Simulator.

Concept simulation. Each robot is a distinct, class-accurate build — its own base, proportions, wrist, and applicator matching that machine’s real configuration. These are stylized representations, not authorized vendor models, not a specific product, and not a live robot feed. Specs are from each manufacturer’s public documentation.
Five robots. Five problems
they were built to solve.
Robotic painting is a proven category. These platforms set the bar for repeatability, explosion safety, and finish quality across the automotive, aerospace, heavy-equipment, and metal-fabrication plants of the Toronto GTA and Southern Ontario. PaintForge is building its orchestration software to speak their languages.
These are third-party industrial robots from ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, and KUKA/Dürr, shown to illustrate the professional painting-robot category. PaintForge is a pre-launch company, is not affiliated with or an authorized distributor of these manufacturers, and does not currently offer them for rent or sale. Specifications are from each manufacturer's public documentation.
IRB 5500 FlexPainter
Exterior automotive body painting with the paint process built into the arm.
Problem. High-speed body lines waste paint and solvent on every color change, and manual spraying can't hold an even film build at line rate.
Solution. Pumps sit ~15 cm from the wrist and the IRC5P unifies motion and process control, so color changes waste less and two units can cover what previously took four.

P-250iB/15
Large-envelope six-axis painter with a patented hollow wrist.
Problem. Large parts and car bodies need dependable coverage and uptime — an unplanned paint-line stop is expensive, and exposed hoses cause contamination.
Solution. A 2,800 mm reach, patented hollow wrist for clean hose routing, and one of the largest service/spares networks in North America keep the line predictable.

Motoman MPX3500
Fast, compact painter with a 70 mm hollow wrist for big applicators.
Problem. Contoured and recessed parts are hard to coat evenly, and paint cells often can't talk cleanly to existing line and process controllers.
Solution. A 70 mm hollow wrist carries large rotary bells for tricky geometry, and the DX200-FM speaks EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT out of the box.

KJ264
Explosion-proof painter with a 3R hollow wrist and slim, wide-reaching body.
Problem. Rejects from dust and debris falling off exposed paint hoses quietly erode first-pass yield on body lines.
Solution. A 3R hollow wrist routes hoses internally and mounts equipment on the upper arm, cutting contamination while keeping a slim, wide motion range.

ready2_spray (KR AGILUS EX)
Compact general-industry package: KUKA arm + Dürr paint technology.
Problem. Smaller GTA metal-fab, appliance, and job shops can't justify the cost and integration time of a full custom paint line.
Solution. A pre-configured, pre-tested cell with 0.03 mm repeatability lowers the barrier — 1K/2K, high/low pressure, water- or solvent-based on small and medium parts.

Robots, or the whole system.
You can start with robots on a service model. The platform is what turns a fleet into an accountable, optimizing system — and it is designed to ship with every deployment.
“Planned” items are on the platform roadmap; pilot partners help decide what ships first.
Robots are only as good as what directs them.
Every RaaS deployment is designed to run on the PaintForge software platform — the layer that programs, monitors, and reports on the fleet. Renting robots without it leaves most of the value on the table.
